Getting pregnant- irregular menstrual cycle?

Hi I have a very similar story to yours. I have had irregular periods and have PCOS. PCOS is different to having polycystic ovaries though. You can have the polycystic ovaries without having the syndrome. Some symptoms of the syndrome are weight gain, acne, hairloss and unwanted facial hair. Many people can fall preg naturally with PCOS, but others stuggle. I have had trouble myself and have undergone 3 attempts at IVF, and am currently awaiting results on my 3rd try. basically if you don't have a period then you haven't ovulated, making it impossible to conceive. There may be things the docs can give you to induce ovulation and your menstural cycle, but it sounds like getting pregnant may not be straight forward for you. It's not all doom and gloom though, as there are many drugs and processes doctors can go through to induce ovulation and get you pregnant.
