Agnus cactus?

I have had irregular periods since my youngest son was born in Nov 2005 and we have decided to try for another baby and I read that agnus cactus can help.Has anyone used it for irregular periods and did it help,Just before I go out and buy some so I can try that for a while before going to the doctors
