Could my freezer be broken from punching the door on it?
This sounds odd but I would appreciate any help! I don't generally pay attention to the way things work (machine wise). This might sound stupid and obvious but for someone like myself, I need help! Today I was in my kitchen and got angry. On the spur of the moment, I punched the freezer door and put a small dent in it. You can only see the dent if you're really looking or if you catch with the right lighting. It's three little imprints from 3 of 4 of my knuckles. Anyway, after I hit it, the motor you hear when you open the door shut off for about 5 minutes. Question 1- Does the motor run continuously or does it go off and on, like the refrigerator? Mine is running but for a while, right after I hit it, it was off and on... Question 2- Is it possible that I broke the freezer? I would like to know if by punching the door, it could have broke it.. I don't want to open up the freezer tomorrow and find everything melted!! Thank you in advance for your answers!
