I need help with my Iguana, he is usually calm when I hold him and lets me pet him but freaks when put down.?
when I hold him for our "walks" hes fine, like I dont even hold him really, he sits on my hand and hes calm, he doesnt whip, bite or thrash/roll (unless spooked) he chills on my shoulder fine and everything, but as soon as I put him down (on my bed for example), he will start to walk away slow, then puff up and bolt, after that its hard to catch him, thats when he whips and does open mouth threats. example: I'll pick him up fine, we will go for a walk outside and/or just chill around the apartment, I might give him a bath, all good..then when I put him back in his enclosure, he will run as soon as hes down and freak out like Ima kill him, almost like he wasnt chillin on my head and shoulders for the last 10-15min. anyone else ever had a bi-polar Ig like this? hes really young, like maybe 3months, so I understand hes still learning and stuff, it just seems diffrent from past Iguanas that I have delt with, any suggestions or tips? I cant even imagine him being freeroam at this rate, -Dra
