Period and sanitary towel question?

As time goes on, you will learn your body and when your period does actually stop. I have never worn tampons, always pads (and I am 41). I can tell when I am done and don't need to wear them anymore. I do,however, wear a panty liner when I am not on my period so even if there was still a little bit left, I would be ok.
