How do I encourage my neighbors that I am a good dogsitter?

I have 2 dogs and have been dying to be a dog sitter and would be a good one, but how do I encourage my neighbors? should I send a postcard but put like "need a dogsitter?" and then put what my family thinks about my dog skills or what????? I need help!!!!!!!! D:
